The apartment is located in the historic center of Moscow, in a building dating back to 1906. The clients are a family of five — two adults and three children — representing the fourth generation living in this home.

The interior preserved numerous family heirlooms and antique furniture passed down through generations. The main objective of the project was a comprehensive renovation while maintaining the historical character of the space. The layout was carefully redesigned to provide private bedrooms for the children, a separate master suite for the parents, and a central living room with a fireplace — a warm gathering place for the entire family.

A key request was to thoughtfully integrate the family heirlooms into the renewed interior. Each piece found its meaningful and dignified place within the new spatial composition.

The renovation encompassed everything — walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, and engineering systems. The result is an atmospheric and refined residence where history and contemporary living coexist in harmony.
